Binge eating disorder (BED) is the most common eating disorder in the United States - an estimated 30% to 40% of people in weight loss programs struggle with binge eating disorder. People with BED are more likely to be of higher weight, but anyone at any weight can struggle with the disorder. BED often co-occurs with mood disorders and other addictions. However, the #1 trigger for binge eating (or any other form of escapism) is RELATIONAL STRESS. We are wired for connection and we thrive in healthy connection - to our self, our bodies and others.

“We should not judge people by their peak of excellence; but by the distance they have traveled from the point where they started.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher
